These instruments are 100% hand made. No numeric control machines are used during the building process. The only electric tools used in building the SimpleBass are a band saw, an electric plane, a drill and an orbital sander. The woods used are Purple Heart or South American Rosewood for the body and African Ebony for the finger board. Other woods may be specified. The body and neck are a single piece, and the head is attached using epoxy resin. The bridge is adjustable and made with maple. The piezo pickup extends the full width of the bridge. The finish is natural shellac applied using the swab technique.
SimpleBass is not mass-produced. Every single instrument is a unique instrument and handcrafted with the passion of a craftsman who is creating something new for every customer. |
