The Stìco, built in Pisa, Italy, by Biarnel Liuteria, is a joy to play. Unlike many other EUBs, it stays well balanced when you play (standing or seated) without falling on your head. The sound is very natural and groovy, with all the good harmonics an upright should have. Stìco definitely isn't a "vertical electric bass" - it's more an upright without the weignt and the feedback. You should really give it a try. Oh, and did I mention how *beautiful* it is? Best buy, at a little price.
