its solid electric upright bass. for the body i used cedar and done some wood carving with dremel and manual tools the fretboard its mezquite wood and for the bridge its palofierro wood this bass was done by hand. the website has information abouth how was the bass was done . information in spanish for the moment sorry i used piezo with an active preamp the sound was ok even when bowed.i tryed with diferent kind of strings metal or nylon where ok.
i called this bass bajonaztle because there is a maya instrument called teponaztle. bajo means bass in spanish
