this is the first eub i ever played. i found this bass very easy to play, you can quickly adjust the stand in any position/height. in my model the position markers dots were in the wrong place, a good 10mm out. on day one i just got some white tape, a good tuner, rewrote all the markers, now it's perfect.
coming from a fretted electric bass i needed some sort of reference markers on the side of the neck. this bass is quite straight forward, 2 x 9v batteries (active pick up), one volume knob, not much sustain. it doesn't hold the tuning very well, in other words you need to tune it quite often, nearly song after song. other than that, it's a pleasure to play, you can get a reasonable good sound out of your amp quite quickly, and it's not expensive, which is good for an entry level instrument like this one. it opens new possibilities and develop the sense of melody and intonation.
