This is the link I had been looking for between the acoustic upright and the elecrtic bass guitar. It is niether but for me it covers either's territory on all of the rock, jazz, blues, folk and country work that I do; I rarely take any other instrument to a gig now. The fenderesque design and craftsmanship of the Bug are outstanding and the price is fair. The Azolas are a real pleasure to deal with and were very open to the custom options I required (ebony board, alder body, individual piezos).

The sound is huge and warm and beautiful. It is an instrument that continues to grow with me. Highly recomended.
