Well built, light and attractive. This bass has a two pickup system.  A bridge system (seperate pickup for each string) and a body mounted system near the neck (inside the body of the bass). The latter pickup gives it more body/neck sound and really improves the accoustic qualities of the sound. It has a "floating top" design.

The amplified tone is equivilent to my carved double bass with David Gage pickup/microphone blend. You can blend the two pickup by the seperate volume controls for each to dial in the sound you prefer.  Bowed sound is excellent with the proper strings.

If you want a portable (stick-like) EUB with realistic accoustic sound, this is a good one.
